What an honor to celebrate with @juliavanraalte and @scotty_p44 this past weekend @beyulretreat. Many years ago I was Julia’s mentor @highmountaininstitute
When she asked me to be her planner there was no doubt that I was just as excited to embark on this adventure with her as I was leading students though the canyons of Utah together a decade ago. Here’s to many more adventures to come!

One of my favorite table scapes! This wedding was a few weeks before Christmas and the couple and all of their guest came from Hawaii. It was adorable to see them frolic in the snow when it began gently falling from the sky on the night before the wedding. Michelle wrote a special note to each guest and paper clipped a photo of them together on the envelope. She also supplied everyone with a little bag of hot cocoa and a mug. We went with dried winter florals red velvet runners, gold candlesticks and chargers and a hunter green napkin. I loved Michelle’s vision and more importantly, her love for Conner!!! This image still evokes a feeling of cozy winter vibes.

Then add snow falling from the sky, frozen floral orbs made by the groom, and a full array of accessories like furry boots, fantastic burgundy shoes and your mothers wedding dress and it’s all over for me- I’m fully swooning!

Hey there, I’m Carrie, the gal behind Stellar and Sage. I was meeting with a photographer last week who asked if I had an Instagram account. When I told her my handle, she exclaimed “I didn’t know that was you”. I guess I don’t talk about myself enough, so here goes.
I was recently published in Shoutout Colorado where I talk about leaving a stable career in education after two decades to start my business as an event planner. The bagpipes evoke a certain emotion perfect for a wedding. This is Colin McFee. He is a dear friend who played bagpipes at my wedding and now teaches my daughter along with a group of other local Leadville kids how to play this complex instrument that stirs something inside us that is indescribable.
